I apologize that this photo was taken well before I actually finished the painting. Ultimately, I was anxious to give it as a gift and I just forgot to get a final picture. I took the reference photo on an afternoon drive over Tioga Pass from Groveland CA. It was a coincidence to be driving back in the late afternoon and passing Olmstead Point just at sunset. It’s always beautiful here, but this sunset was spectacular. At this stage the painting is not signed or dated, but I think it was in Spring 2022.
